Blizzard!
Woke up this morning to blizzard conditions after all! I’m not really sure how much of the white stuff we actually received, since the wind was so nasty, it pretty much blew the snow where ever it wanted it to mound up. The dogs had an interesting time going out the back door. We had several drifts in this area and it was hard to determine where the edge of the step was at to get onto the ground. Sofi, the snow dog, took off, of course. She loves the snow. By the time she came in, she had white all over her face and mini snow balls hanging from the fur on her legs!
Church ended up being cancelled due to the blizzard conditions. Dh made homemade pizzas for lunch. We tried making Grandma T’s cornflake candy, but it turned out hard as a rock. I dipped the Oreo Truffles in chocolate and then some holiday pretzels in white almond bark. Dh made some chocolate truffles with pecans. We should be set with a nice variety of baked goods for our gifts now. I want to try making some dogs treats next. We have many friends with dogs, so I like to have a little something for them as well. I usually make a treat for them which has oatmeal, molasses and peanut butter shaped into balls. I will make these again, since our dogs do like these a lot. I want to try making some pup cakes, too though. Pup cakes are basically like a cupcake, only the ingredients are suitable for dogs.
